The Lion of the North De Wolfe Pack Book 11 edition by Kathryn Le Veque Romance eBooks

The most recent novel about the de Wolfe family occurs 200 years after the original novel in this family saga (The Wolfe). This is an emotional and action packed story. It is somewhat darker in that it starts with the tragic murder of the older de Wolfe son. This novel involves the war in England called The War of the Roses. Like our Civil War it involved friends vs friends, family vs family, and divided loyalties. The younger de Wolfe brother Atticus, known as The Lion of the North, finds out that his brother Titus has been mortally wounded by turncoat friends. Atticus sees his beloved brother as he lays dying and is told the names of his brother's murders. Titus also begs Atticus to marry his new bride who will now be a young widow. The story follows Atticus and Isobeau (his sister-in-law) as they work through their grief, need for vengence, and the healing power of love. This story is full of powerful and sometimes heartbreaking moments. There are battles, siege, murder, and a fight scene with an unexpected ending. There is even a satisfying Epilogue whose last sentences will choke you up. Another wonderful Kathryn Le Veque Medieval novel#

The Lion of the North De Wolfe Pack Book 11 edition by Kathryn Le Veque Romance eBooks Reviews

Absolutely amazing!! I was totally intrigued with the entire story line of this book!! The author wove the plot like a spider web from one character to another, inserting more plots with the main storyline. The various methods the author employed to engage the reader in the numerous aspects of the characters and the ultimate accomplishments of not just the main character, but all the other characters that made up the entire blend of the family lines as they immersed themselves into the very fabric of historical events of the time is akin to a "Sherlock Homes" style method of provoking the reader's interest, and ultimately making the reader feel intrinsically part of the fundamental story itself.
Oh my Lord, for me this is one of Kathryn Le Veque's best book yet! This story had me crying from the first chapter. It has been years since a book did this to me. I wept at least two more times throughout the story.

Atticus de Wolfe is a strong and exceptional hero and Isabeau de Shera de Wolfe is a phenomenal heroine. There was never a slow moment in the story. The pace was really good. It truly moved me emotionally throughout. This story was worth every second spent on it.

I never give out spoilers, but what I will say is that these two characters go through some of the most heartfelt situations throughout the story. There are scenes that are truly intense, brutal, humorous and heart wrenching.

I read almost every day and I can sincerely say, Kathryn Le Veque is the only author who, time and time again, can draw such emotions from me while reading a story. It is truly an amazing feeling when you finish reading an exceptional story that can draw so many emotions from you. This author is brilliant!!!!!

I would highly recommend The Lion of the North to anyone who loves Medieval Romance.

Congratulations for this successful release. I cannot wait for this author's next masterpiece!
This is another wonderful book by Ms. Kathryn Le Veque even though I couldn’t get to it as soon as I wanted when I eventually was able to read it I had a hard time putting the book down! I instantly fell for not only the story but all of the characters. Ms. Le Veque has a way of writing such intriguing captivating stories that have some same characters from her previous books but this book can easily stand alone. It’s also very hard not to get caught up with the story and risk getting pulled into it yourself.
Atticus de Wolfe known as the lion of the north upon hearing that his beloved brother Titus has been killed at the infamous battle of Towton learns that Titus actually is murdered which Atticus is unable to prevent and upon Titus’ dying request asks Atticus to marry his wife Isobeau.
Even though this book had what I loved best battles described fully in gory but horrific detail, vengeance, betrayal, heartbreak and a sweet love story all rolled into one. I was not ready for the vast amounts of crying I did in this book. Ms. Le Veque painted a beautiful but sorrowful picture of not only war but there was quite a bit of heartrending emotion from all sorts of tragic happenstances littered throughout the book. That’s not to say the book isn’t splendid and fantastic which it is but at times I wondered how there could be a love story when there was quite a bit of sad depressing things happening along with large amounts of vengeance portrayed with not only the main male protagonist Atticus but the female heroine Isobeau as well. I guess in a sense I wanted more of a romance between the male/female character's despite the vast amounts of sexual tension between them both but the story however never lacks in its harrowing emotion. At first I really disliked Atticus’ vindictive behavior and how he treated Isobeau but as I read more into the book I really had to give him the benefit of the doubt; grief makes us do funny things especially lash out at the ones we care and love the most. Isobeau was no slouch either which I enjoyed how she could stand up to Atticus’s belittling behavior but was just a strong courageous beautiful woman suffering so many losses but she was able to take everything in stride which I couldn’t help but really admire her. I was a little sad to see the book end and wanted it to last a little longer though. Still Ms. Le Veque does not disappoint that I rated the book four stars, can recommend it especially for the critical historical fiction fanatics because it seems this book is very well researched and will definitely get more books from Ms. Le Veque!
