This seems to be a teaser for a bigger book that is coming out soon, but stands well on its own, dealing with the very quirky issue of why the Olympic Committees (and others) give out free condoms to athletes in the various Olympic Villages. And man do they give out a lot! What started as a few thousand 20 odd years ago is apparently set to be 150,000 this year in London. While the book treats the subject in a light-hearted way - and let's face it, it's a pretty funny topic - the authors seem to have done their research, so it is factual as well as fun. Gets into some serious territory too, talking about the IOC response to HIV/AIDS and various controversies surrounding athletes with AIDs, but keeps the tone gentle in all cases. Some of the cartoons are fun too. Not a book for those who don't like talking/reading about sex, but good for anyone who is comfortable having a laugh about it.Product details
